They can say all they want about how they cover both candidates' flaws with equal professional scrutiny but they transparently believe the Democratic nomination is something they have the power to influence and the Republican nomination is something they don't

Which is interesting. Gen X and millennials grew up having to learn how to use computers, how to go online, etc. One of these skills later generations didn't learn, was how to reconnect outside walled gardens.

That game you love vanishes if no one bothers to crack it and pirate it and emulate it. That person you like, vanishes if the ground turns sour and you didn't figure out a way to find them after fleeing elsewhere.

This is probably part of why everyone on bluesky is 38 years old: 38 year olds are basically the only people who consider it totally normal to flee a sinking ship and then just casually resume the conversation on the tropical island they end up on. They've outlived dozens of ships.

One of my convictions is that 'superhero' is not a Genre. Western, Noir, Romance, Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Horror, Comedy, these are all Genres. And you can put the superhero into any of them, from Jonah Hex to Thor. The Superhero is a WW2 era Imperial Framework you can put over genres as a Lens to play.

The crazy things about this series of commercials, which I love: -The absolutely amazing accuracy, and -How much is now contextually lost on modern viewers (NO ONE in the middle class had a flatscreen TV that size when these aired! And to think medical records were ever done any other way!!)

The secret to becoming a writer is finishing. The secret to becoming a working writer is finishing consistently and repeatedly.
