Yesterday, I did a Google search for the population in Europe in 1930, which I knew would be somewhat north of 500 million. The first result, without me asking for it, was from AI. This was the result.

UK library cards also allow you to access loads of online stuff FOR FREE, including ebooks, audio books, newspapers/magazines, academic articles, Ancestry, the full OED. So even if you never go and get library books out, I'm willing to bet you can find something you would want to use it for.
