Drunk driving in 2024 with all the options available makes you a bad person. I feel very strongly about this.

It’s not even remotely debatable. Higgins had supposedly 5-6 drinks and then drove. That’s fucking crazy. I don’t even do it after 1 drink. Just find an alternative. It’s so goddamn easy. What a completely avoidable disaster.

His intoxication level is irrelevant. Sober drivers perform dangerous driving manuevers like this every day. The problem is the law emboldens this behavior because drivers know the penalties are weak, even if people are killed as a result.

About 30 years ago we had a massive public health campaign in my country about drunk driving making you the worst possible person. It was grim but effective.
