The Andrés fossil site, Portugal, represents a unique window into the Jurassic: In this once-floodplain, fossils of dinosaurs, like 𝘈𝘭𝘭𝘰𝘴𝘢𝘶𝘳𝘶𝘴, and a small sphenodont are abundant! These taxa are almost identical to North American forms. #paleoart #sciart

Galinha's Quarry. Late Bajocian Turiasaurian tracks from Portugal. One of the most wonderful fossil sites in Portugal, and probably the world! These are among the longest sauropod tracks in the world, and now I've reconstructed the paleo-landscape. #paleoart#sciart

Hao Yichun was a pioneer in the fields of stratigraphy, micropaleontology and paleoceanography. She co-authored Paleontology, China’s first textbook on the subject, and deepened understanding of foraminifera, single-celled organisms found in seawater. https://adalovelaceday.substack.com/p/prof-ha...

Arguably some of the coolest mesozoic crocs were Atoposaurids. At the #Andrés Quarry, various teeth and a partial maxilla seem to belong to a member of this family. The remains are very similar to those found in the Guimarota Mine.

Some of the bones from the #Andrés Quarry have been attributed to a dinosaur closely related to 𝘋𝘳𝘺𝘰𝘴𝘢𝘶𝘳𝘶𝘴. The remains consist of some autopodial elements and a dorsal vertebra.
