Happy first day of teaching to all who celebrate! I can't believe this is already the third time I'm running my "Language and the Law" module. This year I've assigned a few of my own publications for the first time; that feels like a real academic milestone.
I'm fascinated by these "social media post as revocation of consent" things. They're essentially chain letters with a few legal-sounding terms thrown in to make them seem "powerful", but the second you try to really parse what's going on they all fall apart; classic SovCit behavior, really.
