The cruelty and debasement of the right towards humans is bluntly obvious, but there's something totalizing about the logic of someone who takes an untrained dog on a hunt and then kills the dog for not instantly adapting to something they were not trained for by their human master.
Makes me long for the Dick Cheney days when instead of shooting wild game or their loyal dog politicians just shot each other.
I feel like there's a metaphor for everything the GOP does in there somewhere but I am too tired to find it.
How revealing is it that as soon as she dispatched the dog, her first thought was "hey, that was easy, now what else do I want to kill"? There's some frightening insight there into the minds of these people.
i had no clue what you were talking about but dug ad holy shit
Toxic masculinity has genetically evolved and now afflicts Republican women candidates
There's no salvaging a person who would behave this way. They're too far gone to be of any use to anyone else. The only polite solution is to shun them from public life forever. But the Republicans instead want to put them into ever-higher office and lifetime appointments.
I know people like this. They are as bad as you'd imagine.
It contextualizes how they view parental discipline, school punishments, and criminal justice. And it all basically boils down to eugenics (as @brooklynmarie.bsky.social correctly points out). They think people are just intrinsically valuable or not, and those that aren't need to be "put down."
Exactly. If a dog misbehaves, it's the human's fault for allowing the dog to do it. Positive reinforcement and lots of love, time and training, that's what it takes. But hey, a bullet to the head if you goof up. I bet her kids listen well! She's shown them the consequences of not listening.
And then just like impulse kills a goat too.
