Maybe people are finally fed up with being slaves to the algorithm and having their art stolen by AI bots. I find the marketing aspect of art exhausting and it seems like it's only gotten more difficult in the past couple of years especially.
I've done tons of art in the last couple of years and hardly posted any of it. I don't know, it just doesn't seem to be worth the energy to me. So many reasons to not post it and not enough to do so. I personally feel really unmoored since leaving the birdsite.
