People really need to let go of the desperate belief that very rich men must be smart.

The video of Musk saying this is especially revealing because he looks SO pleased with himself, like he's throwing down a gauntlet or has come up with a masterstroke of brinkmanship. The Walter Isaacson bio makes it clear how much he's fueled by rage. That's probably a pretty poor business plan.

Thank you. I’ve been saying this for years. Same also re: rich women.

I'm not even convinced he's actually rich. Why did he have to borrow most of the money to buy Twitter?

Kylo Ren: “Let Twitter die. Kill it if you have to.”

The speed of the dissonance is what's killing me here. Reading coverage of it, I gather this came in relatively quick succession, and just … zoinks.

That was something I found amusing in Glass Onion, that the rich guy getting rich was not because of talent or intelligence but of stealing and immorality.

"Sir, we need to discuss a plan to get advertisers back" "No we don't, I already have a plan: I'll tell them they're hurting me and I don't like it and they're big stupid meanies who have poop for heads" "Masterful gambit, sir."
