Iām a big proponent that pastoral care is not just the job of the clergy. Caring for each other is not just a job for the ordained. Part of being laity is the ministry of community. Itās why I love the idea of Stephen Ministry in particular.
The Hyfrydol hymn tune still gets to me whenever we play it in church. Wesleyās āLove Divineā was the hymn tune I chose for my wedding and it kinda makes me choke up hearing it, especially now with the separation closing in on a yearā¦makes me realize how tough this past year has been.

So my mother is forcing me to at least try this fairly conservative online bible study thatās on Revelation (purely bc I argued with her about its authorship) and itāsā¦itās rough (this discussion of sin is painful). Any advice on how to try and participate in something that Ik is harmful? āļø
Though this storm devastated the Gulf Coast, what it's done in the western part of my state is nothing short of terrifying. The flooding, the washed-away roads, and the immense damage will be felt and remembered for a long time to come. Praying deeply for this half of our state.
