In #MathsToday I did simplifying powers with yr 9. Lots of writing it out in full to really explore what the index meant and why the rules worked.
My commitment to myself: by the end of the half term break, I will have applied to a doctorate programme. I expect about 5/10 hours of work to prep for it but that's very doable.
Nope, different ratio of shell to centre in each one due to different shapes. So same overall flavour but different experience with each. Mild changes but changes nonetheless.

In #MathsToday with yr 9 we did collecting like terms and talked about how it was kind of like going shopping and not being very organised so having to keep picking things up and not checking how much they cost so you can't work out the total cost at the end.
I love that having two cats means two adorable purring loving cats to help me wake up in the morning. I hate that they think "the morning" is 4.30 am.
The final tricky one really amped up the challenge and they got quite frantic and sloppy. It was fun and useful.
