The most important audience that Bluesky is currently lacking is elected officials. If this place is ever going to compete with Twitter for people's attention, it needs to include the people in positions of power. I hope it happens soon.
There are a few here like @wyden.senate.gov@meganhunt.bsky.social@lula.com.br! But yeah, I agree we need them here en masse & for them to ditch the Hell Site!

It won't happen until the audience gets big enough.
I genuinely think its lack of sports coverage is a hindrance as well. Sundays, for example, are so wildly active on twitter that it feels dead over here in comparison.
I could really use the National Weather Service
AOC used to be here (not sure why she isn't anymore). And Wyden (and some state legislators) still is but yeah...fairly limited number.
And the sports coverage. Basically the only reason I still maintain an account over there
Public institutions like NOAA would be a super welcome addition as well.
