just remembered the first time i went to a therapist, which was because my college partner had convinced me i was a selfish, bad person. the guy listened to everything i said then was like "that sounds like a very difficult relationship" and sort of suggested i consider leaving

i was like haha no way man love is supposed to be tumultuous and make you feel awful sometimes! so i stayed and was mistreated for another two years. no moral 😎

first time i went to therapy the guy looked and spoke like ricky gervais and said, “i want to help you do what this man is doing” and pointed to a big painting on the wall of a guy bursting out of a block of ice, followed by, “my wife calls this my homo art”

I went to therapy after getting out of the Navy and he told me that what I needed was “structure”. lol.

Wife calls her husband, honey they’re on the radio, they say someone is driving the wrong way on the highway and needs therapy. Husband: *one* person??? *everybody* out here needs therapy!!

been through this too. he BEGGED me to get a therapist, i did it for HIM. and the therapist told me to leave his ass 💀 she even was like "fuck him"
