There are other reasons I felt the review was clownishly smooth-brained, but I find the attitude of "if you didn't find what you hypothesized you would, perhaps you should just drop it from the paper" to be particularly egregious, especially given psych's replication issues.

Just got a woefully incompetent review. In the paper, I hypothesized sig. corrs btwn X & 2 conceptually-related variables. Found sig. corr for 1, but didn't find it for the other so reviewer suggested I file drawer it; specifically, cut all mention of the variable b/c results were nonsignificant.
