I had a very good experience reporting an incorrect closure on Waze, with quick-ish (1 day) feedback from a real person. I believe Google now owns Waze, but they may not be intermingling the data. Might be worth a shot?
So I love this law. Basically, California spends billions replacing gas lines on a regular basis to make sure they aren’t leaking. The bill identifies neighborhoods up for replacement; if the neighborhood prefers, they will shut off the gas line and buy everyone free electric appliances instead.
👀 ⚡🧵 Last week, California passed a law that lets whole neighborhoods electrify, shutting down gas pipelines that would otherwise need replacement. The law allows up to 30 pilot projects through 2030, requiring that 2/3 of affected property owners agree to get of gas. www.kqed.org/news/1200671...
The law will allow up to 30 neighborhoods to end gas utility service and swap out gas appliances for electric ones — at no cost to residents.
is it time to bust out my "bigfoot is bears" photo collection again? if your mental image of a bear is a thick-furred, fat glossy male bear in autumn, you're probably not prepared for how weird their proportions can look in spring, or when walking upright, like they frequently do.
Instead of reporting on how wildly uninformed some swing voters are, maybe the NYT could devote those resources into informing all voters about the issues?
If this is you and you have both outdoor space and about $400, you need www.renogy.com/200-watt-12-... and a battery to go with it - I'd roll with a 100 amp hour AGM battery for cheap or lithium for expensive. This will let you charge things even if power is out! (cont)

The key to understanding this is to remember Trump’s support is not the working class, but the local aristocracy, the car dealership owners et al. who see themselves as Johnny Big Boy Business like Trump’s jmage.
