Anyone having a good explanation why all Orbi systems require frequent cleaning while timsTOFs just continue to run stable ?

I’ve got a guess: the TIMS cell cleans up the incoming ions before the quad, whereas Orbis don’t have that, it’s straight to the quadrupole.

How frequently?? And is this Orbi HFX?? Haven't faced charging issues beyond S-lens on other Orbis.. used to clean S-lens every 6 months and quads during PM as precautionary..
