#WritingCommunity#WritingQ How much do you read your writing for your own enjoyment? I guiltily must admit that I read mostly my own writing, & enjoy it too much to notice all the typos.😂😳

When I'm working on it for the first few readthroughs, it entertains me, but as I edit and revise, the more tired I get. I want to work on something new and the need to read something different grows. Not to say I don't like my own stuff. Once I haven't looked at it in a while I'll enjoy it again

I don't think I've ever just sat and read my own work because I enjoy it. It's always either to edit or to remind myself what I wrote. That said, I definitely enjoy the process most of the time. And it's nothing to be guilty of.

I do enjoy coming back to it after a year or two cos I forget all the little funny bits.

I can't read my own stories without editing them(or at least wanting to), but I still like to read most of them...

oh theres a couple chapters i really love coming back to. sometimes its cause they're where the plot really kicks in, and other times, i just really like the words past me used. dont go telling them i got favourites though! editing form is always a drag haha, but it feels good rewriting smth better
