This image is exactly how it was for me!

I went to work instead of my graduation ceremony, that's how little I wanted to do with any of it. 🙃

It was okay. I ended up transferring to a smaller school where no one knew me and that helped. I had a tougher time in college, tbh.

Highschool was terrible for me. I ended up dropping out and joining the circus

I’ll confess to being the odd one out here. I had my friends, was popular in my band/orch circles. High School for me was great. I know not everyone had that experience.

Started terribly. Was forced by parents to go to a fancy prep school. Terrible fit. No friends for 2 yrs. One person, years later, remarked his Mom saw me often alone looking lost/scared/sad freshman year and felt terrible for me. As people got to know me, friendships formed. Senior year was decent.

I tried hard to figure out why my then best friend started preferring to hang out with superficial people than with me. Now I know why.

Not bad but mostly because I honestly did not give a damn. My understanding was that my job was the academics, and I was good with that. My parents told me that having a few good friends was more important than having a lot of friends, and I believed them, because they were my parents.

I had a good group of friends and was a good student, so it seemed largely fine. I just liked university much more. At 30, I went to a reunion. Walking the halls was fine, but entering the cafeteria I hit this wave of anxiety and dread like I hadn’t felt in a decade. So maybe it wasn’t that fine.
