They've tried peace protests and hundreds were killed. They've tried UN resolutions, Israel ignored them and US approves. Curious what other options are available to them other than die quietly out of sight? Decolonization rarely happens without an ugly fight and 95% of this fight is 1-sided
Hamas doesn't give a shit about "decolonization". That simply isn't a framework adopted by *extremely* right wing theocrats who are fundamentally opposed to the principles of self-governance that decolonization is premised on.
This. What would be the appropriate way to allow the world to decide your existence is really inconvenient?
What is the endgame for indiscriminately killing Israeli civilians? We are seeing it. It is indiscriminate air strikes on Gaza. Apartment blocks full of children will be obliterated. What do we say to them? “Thank you for your sacrifice?”
Israeli snipers kneecapped thousands of peaceful protestors during the Great March of Return and it changed exactly nothing other than crippling an entire generation of Gazans.
When has Israel killed hundreds of Palestinians who were peacefully protesting? This careless exaggeration and inaccuracy is really bad; it discredits the argument.
Why is so hard for some people to recognize the crimes of Israel yet also not give any legitimacy to Hamas?
All of that is true, and yet we can still condemn Hamas. Killing civilians - much less women and children - is simply horrific no matter who does it. Hamas doesn't want our support here either. Otherwise, they wouldn't have targeted civilians. They could've just broken the wall and walked.
