one reason people don’t back down after being fact-checked on a post is that if they RT’d after having an emotional reaction, then those emotions are still activated, irrespective of facts. we can’t un-feel feelings! it takes a VERY HIGH level of emotional literacy to self-examine after new data

VP debate takeaway: Walz consistently promoted Minnesota as a representation of good government that makes peoples lives better and, by extension, demonstrated what he’s delivered for his constituents. Vance barely talked about Ohio and didn’t communicate what he’s done for his constituents.

It was a pleasure to write a chapter about slavery in video games, specifically the game Freedom!, for this new volume for LSU Press. Freedom! was released in 1992 to teach students about the Underground Railroad, but was quickly pulled following lawsuits. lsupress.org/978080718259...
