Open enrollment for Medicare...ugh, I will spend the next six weeks bombing the posts of all the lying Medicare Advantage programs. But in the meantime, I found out something interesting today. My husband has a Part D prescription plan, costs us $50 a month but doesn't cover anything.
So a lovely lady told me that about zero dollar plans for people in his situation. First thought was "yeah, right" but I got one for him from medicare.healthpilot.com/quotes no payments, you just have to cover the deductible if necessary. If you don't have a big med list you should check it out!
Thank you for doing it. Medicare advantage is a scam and people don't realize how they can really screw their future by choosing one of these. I'm working on people I know who are turning 65.
The insidious thing about MA is you often don’t find out about issues until you have a serious illness and it’s too late. MA is so profitable because plans deny services to patients and overbill the government
I trusted my gut and did not go for an advantage plan. So glad I didn’t.
