The absolute worst approach to this would be to be condescending and to treat them like idiots who know nothing Younger generations aren’t stupid They know many things They just have a vastly different experience of interacting with computers
Also, files and folders are metaphors for things that are no longer as common as they once were. A file cabinet containing folders that contain documents is a much more familiar mental image for older people than for younger generations. More or less like ☎️ for a phone.
