There should be switched power under the fuse box, I can’t remember which lug but if you take off the kick panel under the dash/wheel, you should see 4 or 5 lugs under the fuse panel

I see this all the time too and I can’t help but think it’s too bad it doesn’t lead more people to empathize with the people forced to live in conditions that lead to the misery people are trying to numb with dangerous and addictive substances.

Working on them (and B5s, along with MKIV Vws) quite literally put me through college- there’s no way I’d own a German car if I wasn’t working on it myself

Ahh, yeah that’ll happen. That’s what I’d use- sounds like you’re having the full B6 chassis experience!!!

I’ve done dozens of these, never needed glue for the foam. It should stay in place. The hardest part is reindexing the frame into the door so it seals well against the body- hopefully you marked the shims, if not, don’t clean it and look for the dirt spots

Pedestrian Deaths Are An Emergency. We Need To Start Acting Like It
Pedestrian Deaths Are An Emergency. We Need To Start Acting Like It

With 7,500 pedestrian fatalities in America every year, we must consider the safety of people outside our cars.

"No one I spoke to for this piece could name a recent sizable pedestrianization or traffic-reduction scheme that had been reversed once it had been given time to have an effect." www.wired.com/story/car-fr...
