The Harris campaign decided to go with a "play to the middle" strategy rather than a "leave us alone, weirdo" strategy tonight and it really bums me out.
That's our job. It's also not Tim Walz' personality and that fact is exactly why they picked him as running mateThat's our job. It's also not Tim Walz' personality and that fact is exactly why they picked him as running mate
I somewhat felt this way while watching last night, too, but in the end, I decided that if their strategy was "we don't need to fire up our base, b/c those votes are locked in; what we need is our best approach to winning over undecideds, so let's go with nice", then I didn't have a problem with it.
Kids had their fun. Now the adults are taking over to dish out mounds of focus grouped gruel
It feels bad because ur already pissed at JD. Walz is trying to get the voter back that thinks Hillary called them deplorable but they go to church &work hard. They worry about immigrants changing their small town &kids learning how to be trans. But they don’t hate them or anything. Midwesterners
These assholes (the dems) always tack to the right and it’s disgusting. Then people think that they don’t actually believe in anything. They are the same as they ever were
JD Vance did a decent job appearing normal tonight though, so I don't know if "leave us alone, weirdo" would have worked with the normie crowd
They dusted off the 1990s Dem playbook which just doesn't fucking work in a post-Trump world.
there is no one the Democratic consultant blob cannot ruin
that's what Walz is for though, and he did about as well as he could've
