Itās been a while since Iāve done a #histbookchat so hereās two books that arrived in the mail yesterday. Between a family connection to 2/31st Bn and being a gunner myself these books tick a couple of boxes for me.
This is a pretty good dissection of a book and author I am embarrassed to admit I took seriously around the time it was published. (Although, even then, I was unimpressed when he wrote about topics I was more familiar with, like 20th century warfare)
I scored a few Australian military biographies at the garrison library while I was doing reserve work this week - thanks to the poll I ran on Twitter, Iāll be making a start on Morshead this weekend #histbookchat
