This is a fantastic feature on a trans teen who has to travel out of state for care, and in the process, it also highlights how dire this situation is for trans youth without supportive families and resources.
An estimated 110,000 trans teenagers live in states that ban gender-affirming care for minors. Some travel huge distances every few months to keep getting their treatment out-of-state.
we’re 5 DAYS into 2024 & *125* anti-trans bills have been filed across the US. do cis people know this map? this is risk for *adult* trans people across america. FL is already “do not travel.” i must have a few cis followers. please share this. consider if you could live in a country like this.
