I did get a "Meta" human once, but it was a bit like the excellent chefs on the Vogon construction fleet serving tasteless garbage to their employers. I think that Meta person might not have liked their employer and been locked in to a process that was outside of their control to fix.

Although it would be better if Bluesky also used authenticator apps for 2FA...

Just be sure to turn on two factor authentication in any platforms you do use. That can help reduce the risk of account takeovers.

I had almost a sitcoms worth of emails trying to get meta to remove the fake "RaefMeeuwisse" account on Threads and Instagram. It's still there. Life's too short. One of the wierdest moments was when they said I wasn't emailing from the scammers freemail email address, but from my actual domain...

Seriously though, wherever you do have your actual accounts just develop a consistent message that you are definitely NEVER behind any accounts selling crypto or similar. TBH it's such a prolific scam technique, it would or should be the liability of the platform if tick = identity verified.
