I am a huge fan of solar thermal water heaters. Our 3 x flat plate collector, gravity feed thermosyphon system, boosted by 1kW of PV gives us free hot water most of the year in Temperate Adelaide. The tank should last 25 years.

To be clear, I am no temperature record expert. But it seems to be the remarkable nature of 2023 depends on choices of smoothing, ENSO filtering, etc. The null hypothesis (trend+ENSO) would be hard to disprove, I would think. It is just global warming folks... 7/7
