I know nobody needs another kitchen gadget, especially one that can only be used to make a single dish, but if you're interested in different ways to enjoy bread you may find a "toaster" worth the expense and lost counter space

You've inspired me to try this alternative twice baked bread, a blueberry bagel. Even more bougie I'm afraid.

It's so bougie that some companies make bread products specifically for that appliance!

We have a toaster but for years now my wife has insisted on tasting her bread on the stove in olive oil so you don't in fact need a toaster and apparently some connaisseurs feel it detracts from the whole toast experience.

If you don't want an appliance for just one thing, you can get a toaster/oven. Nowadays there are ones that also do convection heating and broiling. As an added bonus, which for some reason they don't advertise, they also all work as a fire hazard.

Hey now, it can also do other dishes, like cook this fancy dish that consists of a fine pastry dough, filled with a sweet fruit reduction & topped with a carefully refined icing that dries to a glass-like sheen. I believe they call them "Pop Tarts". The futuristic pancake grid circles are great too!

I just air fry my toast now because I am not bougie enough.

I like my Coffee brown style and my bread toast-style

Toast is deliberately making bread taste stale and I will never understand its appeal.

This may be true of regular-size ovens too ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ , but a lot of countertop ovens will also toast bread, so you may not need an individual appliance. The Tovala countertop “smart” oven we have takes a little more time toasting bread than a conventional toaster, so my wife calls it a slowster.

If you don't wanna lose counter space you can also saute the bread. Then to avoid having made a pan dirty unnecessarily you can make some white gravy in it and have toast and gravy. It is: very good
