Let's talk about the 1948-1950 operation by Idaho Fish and Game to drop beavers by parachute into more remote areas of the state. It's OPERATION PARABEAVER. The beavers were recognized as essential to ecological restoration of wetlands, but numbers had been depleted by the fur trade.
