I love it when the teens come to my door. Half the time their "costume" is a sports tshirt and they always try to act cool but are so happy to get the candy.

Heck, get some dark chocolate or small bags of pretzels, or cubes of good cheese for the guardians whose tastes veer more in that direction. They gonna love that they've been thought of too.

Especially the older kids who are taking their younger siblings and friends around. Candy for all!

That's our philosophy as well.

I'm very much a city person, so the general idea I have of where your house is and how not-close your nearest neighbor seems to be seems a strange place to go trick-or-treating. It seems like it would be a lot of time to get house to house for not a lot of candy. 😄

To be fair it is kinda a long walk down your driveway. It's only fair to reward such perseverance.

We'll get college students that are trick or treating. I'm not going to be home to give out candy, but if I were, I wouldn't refuse candy.

Thank you. Not every teen you see has attained the social development that matches their physical growth. That 17 year old girl or boy might still be a 10 or 12 year old, developmentally. The hurt in being turned away is the same.

Mulled wine as an option for the adults.
