I have a rule that when my travel involves an ocean, I fly business. For most domestic flights, premium economy is as high as I go. I'm a small guy and I don't drink alcohol, so the delights of domestic business class are muted at best for me.
Besides, you really don't want to take a coach across the ocean. What if it leaks? What if the horses get tired? Better all around to fly.
That looks like first tho, but if you got that, kudos
The times we've gotten ourselves upgraded to business class on Aus-US flights have been absolute dream flights.
Sitting like cattle on a 9 hour flight is like actual hell on earth so good call.
Yeah business makes a HUGE difference when flying international
All the economy seats are just too narrow and uncomfortable for me. They've made them smaller over the years in wideth. I'd rather not travel than fly economy.
I made some overseas reservations recently and although my wallet screamed, business was the only option I would take. Economy was brutal 25 years ago and the cattle car section is even more packed now.
That is extremely reasonable.
Once in my life I got my employer to pay for business, and that was one leg of a 20 plus hour flight from Pago Pago to Honolulu to LAX to DCA. I got the last leg. It was worth it.
Having flown to Japan and back a few times? This is the way. I don't drink, and I'm only 5'3", but economy was WAY too uncomfortable.
