This is a true thing. Our first intl trip since Covid, and unmasked people flying with obviously active illness, coughing, sneezing, and snorfing on packed planes and in airports, is stressing me out. MASK WEARERS OF THE WORLD UNITE!

I don't think I'll ever take any public transport without a mask

yeah. I recently did 2 9-hour flights in a kf-94 and with a portable air filter in my lap, and was fine despite being immunosuppressed, but it was wild how much hacking coughing was going on 😣

People have learned nothing from the pandemic. Even if they think Covid is over, the mitigation skills we developed were also protecting us from colds, flu, bacteria, allergens, etc.

I wore a mask on a plane and only removed it to eat and drink and still caught Covid. 😡 I’d been safe for years, but I think people are acting like it’s not so bad now. It’s been over a month and I’m still recovering. 😡😡

I’m even more careful about masking because I have a chronic cough. I don’t want to worry strangers if I start coughing. I had the cough pre-covid. Covid in 2020 and subsequent infections I got despite masking and not eating indoors have made it worse.

I flew back from the East Coast a couple of weeks ago. I was masked, as was the woman sitting next to me. SO many people all around me sneezing, coughing. I picked up a cold despite the mask - masks work best at stopping YOUR germs from spreading. So why bother? Damn, people are selfish.

I was on an intl flight in 2021, we had to take covid test before to fly. I sat next to someone in the airport who openly told me she bought & provided test results that weren’t hers. I don’t understand this behavior. I got her kicked off our flight though & I still mask because of her.

Same, every flight I've been on since the pandemic started has had very obviously sick people on it not even trying to protect anyone from whatever they've got. People are gross and selfish.

i just don’t go anywhere anymore. probably to my detriment, somewhat, considering i could probably use at least a checkup. and definitely teeth cleaning. 😞
