Yeah - the government making it complicated and expensive for councils to choose to keep the Māori wards seems very much geared towards pushing them to scrap them. I'm glad councils didn't just capitulate and agree it's a pointless waste of money to have a referendum now.
If I understand correctly, does this mean the government will now force local councils to have referendums about it? It seems the racists are gleefully anticipating some kind of overthrow of the councils' decisions as a result - but I'm not sure what the mechanism would be. Do you know?

I accidentally ended up boinking Gale but that was cheesy so I dumped him and spent the rest of the game trying and failing to get enough approval with Astarion to see if that was any better. I fail at BG3 romances basically.
