It’s SO VERY WEIRD to me, as someone raised in a LOT of church, and who has read the Bible cover to cover 20+ times, that so much of Christian Nationalism is about being as selfish, self-centered, and self-reliant as possible. I mean, I know why/how it’s been co-opted, etc but IT’S SO WEIRD.

Agreed, and at the same time, any person should not need to feel personally imperiled to care about anything that’s happening to their fellow humans. It’s basic society to protect and support each other as best we can. That this is so often not the case is heinous. 😠
