I saw Mark Everett live in a pretty small venue in Dublin. He wore an orange hazmat/jumpsuit and it was very guitar-heavy. Loved it. I just looked it up: 1997. Jesus, I’m old.
I love the way that every time you see eels they have a different sound. First saw them when they did Daisies of the Galaxy, horn/strings and Lisa Germano. Then when they did Souljacker and they were a rock band with a trashcan for a drum. Then as a string octet.
