It's a balancing act. Kids often get enthusiastic about stuff that you're enthusiastic about. And, yeah, I'm thrilled that I put on an episode of Transformers Animated and my boy absolutely loved it (he really want a "Bulpead"), but if he didn't that would have been fair enough.

Yeah, I'm having a similar experience with my toddler nephews, especially the older one. I accidentally got him obsessed with Spider-Man, but I try my best to let him figure out what he enjoys, and go along with that.

My little one gets home and wants cartoons and I'm like, "Bluey? You want to watch Bluey? We can watch Bluey..." and she just wants to watch Minnie Mouse or fucking Paw Patrol or some other poorly scripted, poorly animated trash. 😖 Mind you, she still likes 'Sarah and Duck', so that's something...
