If you haven’t already heard, overdose deaths fell in 2023, marking the first decline in years. This is great news. I think it bears repeating that the actual constituency that will decide this election is a handful of people in a handful of states who are completely ambivalent about Donald Trump and either don't care terribly about democracy or don't see Trump as an existential threat to it.
