I get writers not knowing stuff or calling it by a different term, it’s going to happen, but if it’s a plot point you’d think checking that it even there would be a thing.
Or wildlife that we just don’t have. Like Scotland & Wales have mountains, this doesn’t mean we have mountain lions/cougars - not since the last ice age at least. There aren’t any really poisonous snakes - only the adder, which is rare, and by all accounts its bite is on a level with a bee sting.
Training a new member of staff at work today. They were about 6 months old when I started work there (they're 21 now), and helpfully pointed out that I'm the same age their mother. Which is nice. (They aren't even the youngest staff - there's a casual who wasn't born when I started work there)

I wonder in that case what age the Zhangs get the tattoos. If it’s something given after the wilding, but when Haike and the rest got back zql was made patriarch and freed them from the memory loss. So maybe Haike and the rest were the first generation not to get one.
Do all the Zhang’s have the heat activated tattoo? I’ve not read any of the books where Zhang haike appears yet. I had thought that the zhang qiling’s tattoo formed as part of the becoming the patriarch, so it would only be him who had it.

I can't think of anything here that would look like that. Looking at partisan I found corseques. It's not really any more similar than the partisan. I'm not sure if anyone who isn't interested in medieval weapson would have heard of it.
