If my game interface is just a tiny bit more inefficient but cool as hell as a result of it that’s still good UX right.
@enbykaiju.bsky.social I know gender stuff interests you in games, so you might be interested in how it's handled in Banquet for Fools. Obviously still very WIP, the game only dropped on Early Access today, but I don't think I've seen this handled as a slider before.
I tried to accomplish one thing with trigonometry, ended up accomplishing something else that I thought was going to be much more complex to achieve. I'm very bad at maths but this process is how I learned to draw, too...
Some future-game news. Ben is designing the next in-house Wadjet Eye project. I've seen the initial design and art sketches and it's looking AMAZING even at this super early stage. We have 2 other launches before we can start shouting about this, but in the meantime you can enjoy his devlogs! 👇

I'm trying to explain to this lizard that being this small is unreasonable, and also not to sit right in the path where a giant human like me will be walking. Found them a spot that matches their camouflage pretty well.
If you want to know how long it has been since I wrote code, I called an array of assets "Pointer[]" without realising how confusing it would be to assign pointers to said assets.
