Children’s lives in the UK are changing. They are becoming shorter in height. More of them are going hungry than they were a few years ago. Recently, more have died each year than they did a few years ago. Increased poverty, more destitution & the effects of ongoing austerity are the clear culprits.

Examples include government bodies, researchers, some commercial studies E.g. Drug companies, national and international Websites should help answer, with examples of studies using data: www.cprd.comwww.imperial.ac.uk/medicine/res...

The NHS already provides lots of health data in anomymised form for research. Some like neonatal data is high quality and allows national data research. But GP data is not joined up when people move practices. Hospital episode data often incomplete details. And no national maternity dataset
