Nintendo announced the Switch 8 years ago today. The big question is when will it announce its successor?

when people stop buying it. wiiU only lasted 3 years.

I know Nintendo is never highest specs, but the Super Switch needs to really wow now that we have options like the Ally and Steamdeck.

I think very soon, isnt there already 3D printed models with wider screens and new wider joycons? Im more interested in the next gen specs.

Hardware revision is both much needed and long overdue. It even seems that newer Nintendo titles were designed with rumoured "Switch Pro" in mind which has never materialised... Can't wait to finish Platinum's Astral Chain without losing track of the combat due to sub-30, unstable framerate...

Not for another 8 years from now. JK, but I feel we won't get an announcement until sometime in November at the latest once Mario & Luigi is out.

If it’s not this week, then probably before their Q3 financial briefing next February. Although I suppose there’s the copium of next week if we don’t get anything this week since the Q2 briefing is November 5th & the Switch 1 was revealed a week before the Q2 2016 briefing.
