I'm not sure that it's possible to make an adaptation of Junji Ito's work that's as good as the original. Something about it being a manga seems to elevate the experience for me, in a way that'd be very difficult to replicate in animation. I'm not sure how to explain what I mean.
Same. Honestly, I wasn't too crazy about the opening song, but it's not bad. I really like the opening's visuals, though. It's got some really gorgeous art, like this part especially:

I checked out chapter 1 of the manga right after, and I can see what you mean about the art. If they're able to deliver that level of quality art on a weekly basis, that's pretty impressive, haha.
I actually finished watching episode 1 right as you replied. Definitely one of the best 1st episodes I've seen. The art style and animation are amazing, and the characters already seem well written. Usually I need more time with characters to care about them, but I liked them in just a few minutes.
I'm not sure how they'll deal with it. It would be cool if Fami summoned Falling again to help out.
They even implied that the person quote tweeting them instead of replying was hostile in some way, which is confusing to me. I don't think they could've had any real discussion with someone who's going with the least charitable interpretation of everything they try to say, in their own echo chamber.
I checked out the stream this time, and the streamer seemed to have convinced their audience (or vice versa?) that the person they were disagreeing with was bitter and attacking them for no reason when in reality, they were being calm and nonconfrontational about the whole thing.
