UNAX is basically the first thing we're told about at the IRS. And there are signs everywhere about it in the office spaces.

Some of y'all need to shut the fuck up about the South, because you're demonstrating not just your callous disregard for humanity but your total ignorance Asheville is in the mountains, hundreds of miles from the coast, and one of the gayest, most progressive cities in the nation

Skeet from sidestream.bsky.social that reads:

Doesn’t North Carolina use a lot of coal for electricity generation? Didn’t NC vote against climate change mitigation along coastal areas (for poor people only though)

You reap what you sow etc etc.

I think it's relevant and important that Flake's detailed statement about *why* he's endorsing Harris doesn't mention a single policy position. He doesn't say that he agrees with her about *any* issue. The only point of agreement he makes, really, is that Authoritarianism is Bad Actually.

OK...the NWS Bot collection is now fully populated and ready to go. I'm sure bugs will come up along the way, but I think it is 95%+ stable. There's an index page at nws-bot.us including a map (borrowed from NWS) to find the right bot for the area you want to follow.

This devastation is not the fault of the people of Appalachia making the poor life choice to live there. You want to believe that because it makes you feel safe but you are just as vulnerable to climate change and devastation.

To understand how GOATed the US economy has been, consider that today's revisions have increased real GDP per capita growth by 1.2%, from 8.2% to 9.4% That 1.2% increase alone is more growth than the UK, Germany, and Canada have seen, and is almost on par with France (1.5%)

no one wants to hear it but the main obstacle to new housing is affluent incumbent homeowners using the state to protect their investments

Kathryn Garcia narrowly lost to Eric Adams. It’s fair to assume she would have had an even better shot had he not had this illegal assist. Eric Adams is a fundamentally illegitimate mayor and should resign.
