A mere $699.99 price tag. Yes, the can it whip egg whites question would concern me. Also the price. Gift link:
The model features an eye-catching wooden bowl. But can you whip egg whites in it?
I genuinely thought the pictures I saw of it were AI generated as a goof
The comments section is great, WaPo readers absolutely torching the designers
Why would you want a wood whipping bowl? I'm not sure how many times I've dinged the sides of the KitchenAid metal bowl and I hate cleaning wood. It looks pretty, but wood would be a nightmare.
Perhaps this is for the people who absolutely know they’ll never use it.
I mean. I’m looking at real estate for a potential move, and so many fawncy houses have “cook’s kitchens” that you know have been used only for microwaving leftovers and as a staging area for caterers.
I got mine when I was 24, for my first mother's day (36 years ago). It was really the beginning of my realization that investing in good quality tools can make a massive difference in the quality of your work. Most recently I've been using it to make gluten free focaccia and cinnamon rolls.
I gave my son & DIL a red Kitchenaid for the holidays (on sale, 40% off) a couple of years ago & the online store was eye-popping. With so many beautiful (I mean REALLY BEAUTIFUL) & functional bowls to choose from, this? The Stalinist Nostalgia stand with Potentially Poisonous bowl is...no. Hell no.
For a mere $330, you can switch out the bowl for this beaut: sertodo.com/products/cop...
Looking for a high-quality Kitchenaid Copper Bowl to pair with your Professional 600 mixer? Sertodo has you covered with their 6-quart copper mixing bowl.
The part of the article that newlyweds are putting Kitchen Aids on their registries is irritating. Do you know how many people who can't cook their way out of a paper bag I know own this appliance & it's collecting dust? I didn't get one til I was 50, a generous gift from a friend who was moving.
