it's an old observation but the number of "big" accounts i've seen make accounts here, do a few posts then say it's dead without interacting with anyone, is not insignificant lol

i had 70k followers at my peak on Twitter and it's nice to be able to read my mentions again. as a legacy blue check and Black woman, I increasingly avoided my mentions and it sucked bc I genuinely wanted to talk to my cool followers more. but the place was just so toxic.
100% agree. When I joined Bluesky, I made the conscientious decision to forget about my follower/following count and ratio. I’m looking for human beings to connect with.
Right. Almost none of my former cohort from twitter is here on bsky. But I have a good time here because people engage in real conversations in threads. And I’ve found out about so many NEW people! It’s refreshing.
Someone should let Brent know it sounds like he has an unhealthy relationship with social media, bordering on addiction.
