Need Universal Basic Services too, otherwise it'll just be a gift to landlords/service providers

Yeah, we had a mini version of this with the Covid payments. End result was inflation once goods became readily available. These pilot programs have consistently worked but I still have doubts if they ever become universal. Would love to see a test program that targets an entire 50,000 person city

A Canadian Senator wrote her PhD on this, and called it a "social wage". I think that it's an excellent idea. Money drops can get sucked into rent increases, but no one can trade away my health care (I'm in Ontario.)
