This picture was taken on Feb 19 in Ethiopia's Amhara region. It shows a damaged Isuzu truck that was hit by a drone. 30+ people riding aboard, returning from a baby's baptism, were massacred. My visual investigation will be the cover story of this weekend's @thecontinent.bsky.social newspaper.

Because the Ethiopian government has severed communications across much of the Amhara region, and banned journalists from traveling to the region and documenting atrocities there, it took 2 or 3 days for eyewitness accounts to emerge. A host of stories were published based on the testimony.
