A painting of a large citadel. It is a work in progress image. The citadel is enormous with multiple structures throughout that resemble architecture found in Nigeria, North Africa, as well as Europe and the Middle East. There are numerous frescos, paintings, and carvings on the structures similar to those found in the Hausa and Kassena cultures. There are trees sprinkled throughout the image and there is still a lot of vegetation that needs added as well as pedestrians, animals, etc., but it's getting very close to completion.

Update on The Grey Keep citadel. Still working on detailing and rendering. I’ve made a lot of rock and clay textures over the last few days to get the right sort of feel for everything. It’s going well! #art#bskyart#architecture#fantasyarchitecture#fantasy#castle#drawing#painting 🎨

A midday view of a large citadel made primarily of clay with stone cobbles interlaced throughout. There are several buildings in the complex made with different colors of clay and each with accents to tie them in to the rest of the structure. There are two large rounded walls leading to the main gate of the keep with what looks to be belfries at the top, but instead of housing bells, they house pits of fire. A third pit of fire rests a level below the main complex, recessed into one of the clay walls and surrounded by colorful frescos and carvings.
