HS2 may now run to Euston! Good news but also today there was news that Euston can't cope with the existing traffic! There are rumors the GWR lines to Paddington will be affected. I hope someone puts out a realistic plan soon www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

Fascinating! I had thought that all the Western Britannias were named after GWR engines
Interesting! The best reason for this that I can find is that it was based at the Cardiff shed and ran the London to West Country route. So it was named after a previous GWR express train service.
