So many people still misunderstand the importance of routines for autistic people - and failing to see why they matter, they try to impose them, and end up reducing autonomy and adding to stress, rather than taking it away. I hope this piece helps people to get why routines can make things worse.

There are dangers to assuming autistic people need routines, without understanding why. Otherwise, they can do more harm than good.
If you have more than a billion dollars you should be required to employ someone whose only job is to constantly tell you why your latest idea is fuckin stupid.
