I don't know what to do when I can't give more words. When I can't ask someone what they need because I know what they need and can't give it. It's cruel to be silent

What do empowering autistic self-accommodations look like to you, or to your autistic person, child, or student? For many, they look like implementing daily routines/rituals. Having a sensory friendly environment. Having fidgets and comfort items around, including safe foods. #neurodiversity

Graphic with a palest green background and a bowl of mac and cheese in the center right.

An off-white bar at the top has text on the right reading "@ThinkingAutism" with the "@" in red.

Black block text to the upper left of the pasta reads, "What do empowering autistic self-accommodations look like?"

Black to the lower left of the past reads, "implementing daily routines/rituals. A sensory friendly environment. Having fidgets and comfort items around, including safe foods." The words "routines" "sensory friendly" "fidgets" "comfort items" and "safe foods" are in red.

At the bottom is an off-white bar with black text reading, "At Stanford Neurodiversity Summit 2024" and "tinyurl.com/AutisticSelfCare" with the word "self" in red.

I like the sky at West Kirby right now.

A cloudy sky with lowering sun light. In the background the low hills. In the foreground a marine lake with small sailing dinghies in view

I heard someone pronounce LGBTQ "legebetequois" like it's French and I think this needs to catch on
